What this preview stores.
A factual guide to the current application. Updated October 19, 2026.
Settings on your device
When you save settings, the lab uses this site’s browser local storage for scroll sensitivity, camera-help preference, viewer appearance, scene appearance, and interface theme. They remain until you change them or clear this site’s data in your browser.
The current pose and its label are not saved across sessions. Image capture downloads a PNG to your device. The application does not upload the image.

Network requests
The application requests its code, models, textures, fonts, and reference data from the site that serves it. The current application code does not include account registration, analytics, advertising scripts, payment collection, or application-set cookies.
The hosting provider may process connection details such as IP address, browser information, and request logs. Hosting configuration, log retention, and provider privacy practices need separate verification before launch. Browser extensions and hosting-added features are outside this code audit.
If you follow a reference link to an external website, that site handles your visit under its own terms and privacy practices.
Anonymous feedback
Give Feedback sends the text you enter to the Positionlab server when you select Send anonymously. No name, email, account, IP address, browser details, or current pose is added to the saved feedback record. The record contains only your message, a random submission ID, and the time received. Avoid including identifying or patient information in the message itself.
On positionlab.net, feedback is saved in a private hosted database and copied to the operator’s FEEDBACK FOR PL folder for weekly review. Local preview submissions save directly to that folder. Feedback records are not publicly readable, and local files are excluded from the application build. The form confirms success only after the server saves the message; if the service is unavailable, your text remains in the form. Hosting providers may process connection information in their infrastructure logs; it is not added to the feedback record.
Support information stays under your control
The support page can prepare a diagnostic report after you click a button. It shows the build identifier, browser user-agent, viewport size, pixel ratio, and a basic WebGL availability result. You can review it before downloading.
The report does not include your pose, position name, saved settings, browsing history, full page address, or patient information. No report is automatically transmitted. If you later share the file, the recipient will receive the information it contains.
Before using the preview with a class
Institutional review, audience and age policy, and any required school or parent arrangements are not complete. Do not upload or enter real patient information. Contact the person who provided your preview access with privacy questions; a public privacy contact is still pending.
